Tongyi Allied Mining Ltd., wase stablished in 1997. It was headquartered in Romania and its subsidiaries are throughout Europe, Asia and Africa. At present, Tongyi Allied Mining Ltd. is headquartered in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria and sets up offices in the States of Lagos, Bauchi, Plateau, Zamfara, Ogun and Ebonyi.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: External Accountant

Location: Jabi, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The External Accountant provides independent accounting, financial reporting, and advisory services to an organization on a contract or consulting basis.
• The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing statutory reports, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations, and offering financial insights to support management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records in line with applicable accounting standards (IFRS).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws including CIT, VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other statutory deductions.
• Prepare and submit statutory returns and financial reports to relevant authorities (FIRS, SIRS, CAC, PENCOM, NSITF).
• Provide support during external audits and regulatory reviews.
• Advise management on accounting policies, internal controls, and financial best practices.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain confidentiality and independence in all financial matters.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, ANAN is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 3years’ experience in accounting, audit, or financial consulting.
• Practical experience working with SMEs, corporate organizations, or professional firms.
