We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Business Development Coordinator to support lead generation, bid administration, and market intelligence activities.
The role is critical to driving revenue growth, strengthening client relationships, and expanding the company’s footprint within the oil & gas and allied sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Engagement:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with the company’s competencies across oil & gas, EPCs, IOCs, and related sectors.
Present company capabilities and service offerings to prospective clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Develop and implement structured business development and marketing plans.
Prospect, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships and alliances.
Lead company registration, prequalification, and vendor onboarding across industry platforms including NIPEX, NCDMB, and IOC vendor portals.
Track and report sales pipelines, lead conversion, and revenue performance.
Bid & Tender Administration:
Monitor tender portals and industry channels for EOIs, RFQs, and tender opportunities relevant to the company’s services.
Coordinate bid/no-bid decisions and maintain an up-to-date bid log.
Manage end-to-end bid coordination, including collation and submission of EOIs and tender responses.
Liaise with clients and vendors to clarify bid requirements and commercial or technical queries.
Support internal teams to ensure timely, compliant, and competitive submissions.
Market Intelligence & Strategy Support:
Conduct market research to identify customer needs, emerging opportunities, and viable revenue streams.
Analyse industry trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to support market entry and growth strategies.
Performance Indicators
New client acquisition and pipeline growth
Bid win/loss performance and tender success rate
Client retention and contract renewals
Revenue growth and market penetration
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or a related discipline
5–7 years of progressive business development experience, preferably within the oil & gas or energy services sector
Proven track record in winning contracts, closing deals, and growing client accounts
Strong familiarity with IOC, EPC, and industry tendering processes
MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage
Certifications (Preferred)
Project Management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar)
Sales or Business Development certifications (e.g., HubSpot or equivalent)
NIPEX and/or NCDMB vendor engagement or compliance training
Skills & Competencies:
Strong presentation, pitching, and proposal coordination skills
Excellent negotiation, networking, and stakeholder management abilities
Clear written and verbal communication
Analytical and commercially astute mindset
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
Self-driven, resilient, and results-focused
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
Sound understanding of oil & gas industry regulations (desirable).
