Job Title: Senior Grill Chef

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The ideal candidate must be a passionate, skilled, and experienced chef who specializes in meat grilling and continental dishes.
• He/she must be an expert in preparing all kinds of grilled delicacies, such as Asun, various types of pepper soup, and other grilled delicacies
• The chef must demonstrate creativity, consistency, speed, and mastery of grill techniques.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and grill premium-quality meat/protein dishes, including barbecued meat, Asun, stir-fry dishes, like Asun rice, Stir-fry pasta and different continental dishes
• Expertly cook varieties of pepper soup using authentic recipes and traditional techniques.
• Ensure all grilled items are well-seasoned, tender, flavorful, and presented attractively.
• Monitor food quality and ensure consistency in taste and appearance.
• Manage kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and compliance with food safety standards.
• Handle meat seasoning, marination, temperature control, and portioning effectively.
• Maintain inventory of ingredients and ensure timely supply of fresh proteins and other key supplies.
• Assist in menu planning, costing, and recipe documentation.
• Collaborate with management in developing grill specials and seasonal offerings.
• Ensure waste reduction and manage cooking resources efficiently.
• In-depth knowledge of pork and meat handling.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 4 years of hands-on experience in grilling and continental dishes.
• Must have studied a food-related course (e.g., catering, culinary arts, or hospitality management) or acquired specialized culinary training.
• Informal or non-academic training is acceptable if backed by real skill, innovation, and experience in grills and kitchen leadership.
• Experience in a busy grill kitchen or restaurant will be a strong advantage.

Salary
