We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Social Media and Marketing Specialist

Location: African Rhapsody Botanical Labs & African Rhapsody, Mainland - Lagos

Role Summary

• We’re looking for a proactive and creative Social Media and Marketing Specialist to join the African Rhapsody team.
• This is a versatile role that blends sales, digital marketing, and content creation to drive growth across both African Rhapsody and Botanical Labs.
• You will manage relationships with retail outlets, support B2B lead generation (for our extracts and tea blends), execute content marketing campaigns, and manage social content across multiple channels.
• We’re not just looking for experience — we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with the brand, bring fresh ideas, and help us build something meaningful.
• Preferrably female.

• We’re looking for a young, energetic, and self-motivated individual, preferably female, who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities
Content creation:

• Develop and schedule engaging content across Instagram, WhatsApp, and email
• Plan and execute marketing campaigns (e.g. discounts, testimonials, product education series)
• Grow and manage our online community through authentic engagement and storytelling
• Coordinate with the creative team for visuals and campaign assets

Retail Sales Support:

• Visit and maintain relationships with retail outlets stocking African Rhapsody products
• Track stock levels and ensure proper product display
• Onboard new retail partners and monitor product movement.

B2B Outreach (Labs):

• Identify and contact prospective clients (formulators, manufacturers brands, wellness product makers)
• Send cold emails, DMs, and follow up with calls and samples
• Maintain a lead tracker and follow up on conversion opportunities
• Support closing deals and building long-term B2B partnerships.

The ideal candidate:

• Has 1 – 3 years of experience in social media, marketing, or content-related roles
• Is agile, hands-on, and eager to learn and grow within a small team
• Is a natural self-starter who takes initiative and enjoys building systems from scratch
• Has a genuine passion for social impact, beauty, wellness, and African botanical innovation
• Is enthusiastic, curious, and willing to contribute beyond their job description.

Salary
N144,000 / month
