Job Title: IT Administrator

Job Summary
This role is responsible for day-to-day operation, maintenance and support of the company’s Windows environment, M365 tenant, SQL Database, Endpoint devices (laptops/desktops), printers, network infrastructure (LAN, Wi‑Fi AP, firewall), and Core Retail POS systems.
Ensures reliable performance, security, and user support across offices and retail outlets; implements patches, backups, and standard operating procedures; coordinates with vendors and escalates complex issues.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and administer Windows servers, AD/Azure AD, group policies, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
Manage Microsoft 365 tenant: user provisioning/deprovisioning, licensing, Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, security/compliance settings.
Manage SQL server administration: Responsible for the overall management, maintenance, security, and operation of an organization's database systems that use Structured Query Language (SQL).
Provide first- and second-line support for laptops, desktops, monitors and peripherals; perform setup, OS updates, patching, and hardware troubleshooting.
Support and maintain printers/MFPs: configuration, drivers, consumables management, and vendor coordination for repairs.
Manage and monitor network infrastructure: LAN switches, VLANs, Wi‑Fi access points, network segmentation, and performance troubleshooting.
Configure, maintain, and monitor firewalls and edge security: rule updates, VPNs, logging, firmware updates, and basic IDS/IPS alerts escalation.
Monitor internet connectivity and network performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
Administer and support Core Retail Software systems: user accounts, workstation configuration, connectivity, daily health checks, and coordination with POS vendor for upgrades and incident resolution.
Provide user support for POS-specific issues (transactions, peripheral devices like barcode scanners, receipt printers, cash-drawers) and ensure high availability during business hours.
Maintain inventory and asset management for all IT equipment; track warranties and lifecycle replacement schedules.
Implement and operate backup and recovery processes for critical systems and data; regularly test restores and document procedures.
Monitor system health and alerts; proactively identify issues and drive remediation or capacity planning.
Apply security best practices: endpoint protection, patch management, account hygiene, multi-factor authentication, and basic incident response/playbook execution.
Maintain documentation: runbooks, SOPs, network diagrams, configuration files, change logs, and knowledge base articles for common user issues.
Coordinate with third-party vendors (ISP, POS provider, printer service, cloud providers) and manage service tickets and SLAs.
Support onboarding/offboarding processes for employees including device provisioning, access rights, and secure data removal.
Assist with IT projects and upgrades (Wi‑Fi expansion, workstation refresh, feature rollouts, Store Opening) ensuring continuous service availability.
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations for data protection and privacy.
Provide after-hours support on an as-needed rotation or for critical incidents.
Collaborate across board to ensure highest level of customer service delivery.
Qualifications
Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related fields
3+ years IT admin experience in SQL Database environment with on-
3+ year Network (WAN/LAN) support for Multi branch (locations) architecture.
Hands-on experience with Active Directory/Azure AD, Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11 imaging, network fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP), and firewall configuration.
Hands on experience is windows server, VM and cloud computing.
Familiarity with backup solutions, endpoint security, and basic cloud services.
Strong customer-service orientation, troubleshooting skills, and clear documentation practices.
Certifications preferred: Microsoft 365 Certified, CompTIA Network+/Security+, or relevant vendor certifications is a plus.
