Vestates was born on the 19th March 2013 as a private Limited Liability company, to launch out into the real estate and property management services space. Our aim over the years has been to provide complete real estate services. These include the sale and lease of residential and commercial properties, and long-term property management within Nigeria and Internationally.
From our early days of operation, we have focused on using technology to compete and create a niche for ourselves in the Nigerian real estate industry. Unfortunately, we had to step down to a more analogue approach if we were to work with other stakeholders in the real estate space in Nigeria. Job Title: Designer

Role Summary
The Designer will lead the conceptualisation and creation of customised modular home and furniture designs that meet Zbom’s quality standards and clients’ aesthetic preferences.
This role involves collaborating with customers, translating their requirements into detailed AutoCAD drawings, and working closely with the production and installation teams to bring designs to life.
Responsibilities and Duties
Engage with clients to understand their design preferences, functional needs, and budget constraints.
Develop initial concepts and mood boards to present design options and gather feedback.
Create accurate technical drawings and 3D models in AutoCAD for modular units, cabinetry, and whole-home layouts.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are feasible, cost‑effective, and compliant with manufacturing capabilities.
Revise drawings based on client and engineering feedback, maintaining version control and documentation.
Prepare detailed material specifications, cut lists, and assembly guidelines for installation teams.
Present finished design proposals to clients, highlighting features, benefits, and maintenance considerations.
Stay up-to-date with interior design trends, materials, and modular construction techniques to enhance Zbom’s offerings.
Assist marketing with visual assets for the website, brochures, and social media campaigns.
Job Requirements
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ professional experience in furniture or interior design, preferably with modular systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and basic 3D modelling software (e.g., SketchUp, Revit).
Strong client-facing skills and ability to extract clear design briefs.
Excellent visual communication and presentation abilities.
Familiarity with materials, finishes, and manufacturing constraints in a furniture context.
Desirable:
Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
Knowledge of Nigerian building codes and local material suppliers.
Previous work in a franchise or retail environment.
Basic understanding of cost estimation and budgeting for design projects.
Skills and Competencies:
Ability to generate innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing design solutions.
Precision in creating and reviewing detailed AutoCAD drawings and plans.
Empathy and active listening to translate client needs into exceptional designs.
Works effectively across production, installation, and sales teams to ensure seamless delivery.
Multiple design projects and meets tight deadlines without compromising quality.
Adapts designs to tackle site constraints, material availability, or budget changes.
Work Environment:
Hybrid role with time split between office/design studio and client sites.
Requires site visits for measurements and client consultations; moderate travel across urban areas.
In-office work involves extended computer use and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Occasional participation in trade shows or client events to showcase design capabilities.
