Kursi Group is a Nigerian-based mining, mineral processing, and trading company. Incorporated in 2005, the company has grown to become one of Nigeria’s largest and most reliable mining and trading firms. The head office is located in Abuja, with mining, operational, and processing sites spread across 22 of the 36 states in Nigeria. Kursi holds titles for some of the most viable mineral assets in Nigeria, with combined mineral resources and reserve estimates of over USD 100 billion. We mine, process, and trade in base metals, precious stones, and rare earth minerals, supplying off-takers, manufacturers, and end-users in the global value chain.

Our gold mining and processing lines have the capacity to process 8,500 tons of ore per day, with optimal grade recovery rates. We also lead the Nigerian market in mining and trading of lithium, lead, zinc, tin, columbite, tantalite, monoxide, manganese, wolframite, graphite, and fluorite.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Facility Management Officer

Location: Abuja
Job Type: Full Time

Job Summary

  • The Facility Management Officer will ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and management of the head office facilities.
  • The role focuses on maintaining a safe, functional, and comfortable working environment, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
  • The Facility Management Officer will coordinate maintenance, manage vendors, optimize office operations, and provide administrative support to the management and staff.

Key Responsibilities
Facility Operations & Maintenance:

  • Oversee day-to-day office operations, including building, furniture, IT rooms, and general infrastructure.
  • Coordinate routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure smooth office operations.
  • Manage utilities such as power, water, HVAC, and backup systems.
  • Maintain an accurate asset register for office equipment and facilities.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments, implement emergency response plans, and train staff on safety procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with corporate policies and relevant statutory requirements.

Vendor & Service Provider Management:

  • Liaise with contractors, vendors, and service providers for cleaning, security, maintenance, and other office services.
  • Manage service contracts, monitor vendor performance, and ensure timely resolution of service issues.
  • Maintain records of approved vendors and manage procurement of facility-related goods and services.

Administrative & Operational Support:

  • Ensure effective management of office supplies, logistics, and mail services.
  • Support office moves, space allocation, and furniture/equipment setup.
  • Prepare reports on facility performance, ongoing projects, and operational challenges.

Qualifications & Experience

  • BSc or HND in Facilities Management, Estate Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–5 years’ experience in office or corporate facility management (experience in corporate or industrial environments is an advantage).
  • Knowledge of office utilities, building maintenance, and HSE compliance.
  • Experience coordinating vendors and service providers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with facility management software is a plus.
