Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Job Summary
- The Warehouse Manager will oversee all warehouse operations at the Bode Saadu mining site, ensuring accurate inventory management, efficient material handling, safety compliance, and seamless support to mining operations.
- The role involves supervising warehouse staff, optimizing storage and workflows, and delivering timely reports to site management to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and supervise all warehouse staff and supervisors at the Bode Saadu site.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, team briefings, and skills gap analyses.
- Perform site inspections to monitor warehouse operations, staff performance, and adherence to SOPs.
Inventory & Material Management:
- Maintain accurate stock records for mining materials, spare parts, and consumables.
- Conduct monthly physical stock counts and unplanned spot checks.
- Implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First-Out) inventory principles.
- Monitor critical, slow-moving, or expiring stock and take corrective actions to prevent losses.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies caused by damage, theft, or system errors.
Warehouse Operations & Process Optimization:
- Develop, implement, and enforce site-specific SOPs for material handling, storage, and dispatch.
- Identify process bottlenecks and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Coordinate with mining operations, maintenance, and logistics teams to ensure timely supply Optimize warehouse layout, storage systems, and workflows to maximize operational efficiency.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Review and analyze daily and weekly stock reports submitted by warehouse supervisors.
- Provide timely and actionable reports to Site Management on stock levels, operational issues, and material utilization.
- Deliver insights to improve inventory management and warehouse performance.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with mining site safety regulations, environmental standards, and Conduct periodic safety inspections and enforce corrective actions.
- Identify operational risks, including fire hazards, unsafe handling, and stacking issues, and implement preventive measures.
Team Development & Training:
- Identify training needs and support professional development for warehouse staff.
- Foster a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 4–6 years of progressive warehouse or inventory management experience, preferably in mining, heavy equipment, or industrial operations.
- Proven experience in supervising teams and optimizing warehouse processes.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management principles, inventory control, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse/ERP management systems.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment
- This role is primarily based at the Bode Saadu mining site.
- The position requires managing warehouse operations in an industrial setting, including rugged terrain and exposure to heavy equipment and active mining operations.
- Occasional travel to other operational sites may be required.
