Job Title: Credit Analyst

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Role Overview

• The Credit Analyst will be responsible for assessing creditworthiness, analysing financial data, and supporting sound lending decisions that balance growth with risk management. This role is critical to maintaining portfolio quality and supporting the company’s lending strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate loan applications by analysing financial statements, cash flows, credit reports, and other relevant data.
• Conduct credit risk assessments and recommend approval, decline, or modification of loan requests.
• Monitor loan performance and flag early warning signals for potential defaults.
• Support the development and review of credit policies, risk models, and lending guidelines.
• Prepare credit analysis reports and present findings to management.
• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with collections, operations, and business development teams to manage portfolio risk.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 –7 years’ experience in credit analysis, lending, or risk assessment (micro-finance or fintech experience is an advantage).
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
• Good understanding of credit risk management and loan structures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
• High attention to detail with strong judgment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Salary
N450,000 monthly.
