Job Title: Stock Control and Inventory Officer

Job Summary

• The Stock Control & Inventory Officer will be responsible for the end-to-end management, monitoring, and control of inventory across TWO (2) stores dealing in gadgets and phone accessories.
• This role requires a highly experienced, firm, detail-driven professional capable of handling multi-store inventory operations, preventing losses, and ensuring accurate stock availability at all times.

Key Responsibilities
Multi-Store Inventory Management:

• Manage and control inventory for two (2) separate store locations simultaneously.
• Ensure stock accuracy and availability across both stores at all times.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts for each store and reconcile differences promptly.
• Track stock movement between stores and ensure proper authorization and documentation.
• Identify fast-moving, slow-moving, damaged, and obsolete items per store.

Stock Control & Loss Prevention:

• Monitor and investigate stock variances across both locations.
• Enforce strict stock handling, storage, and movement procedures in both stores.
• Work closely with store managers and security to reduce shrinkage, theft, and pilferage.
• Maintain detailed records of damaged, returned, and written-off items for both stores.

System, Records & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate, real-time inventory records for each store separately and collectively.
• Generate store-specific and consolidated inventory reports for management.
• Ensure all stock inflows, outflows, transfers, and adjustments are properly logged.
• Prepare inventory data for audits covering both locations.

Replenishment & Coordination:

• Monitor reorder levels per store and recommend timely replenishment.
• Coordinate stock distribution between the two stores to prevent stock-outs or overstocking.
• Verify incoming supplies against purchase orders and delivery notes for both stores.
• Liaise with procurement, sales, warehouse, and logistics teams.

Compliance & Accountability:

• Ensure strict adherence to company inventory policies across both locations.
• Support internal and external stock audits for both stores.
• Enforce accountability and discipline in stock handling by all store staff.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education:

• HND / BSc in Accounting, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Inventory, logistics, or audit certifications are an added advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 – 3 years proven experience as a Stock Control / Inventory Officer.
• Mandatory experience managing inventory for multiple outlets or branches.
• Strong background in gadgets, electronics, or phone accessories retail/e-commerce.
• Experience handling high-value and high-volume stock.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong reconciliation, analytical, and reporting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and zero tolerance for discrepancies.
• Proficiency in inventory systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to multitask and manage two locations efficiently.
• High level of integrity, firmness, and accountability.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Work Expectations:

• Work from Mondays – Saturdays
• Must be firm, proactive, and highly organized.
• Must be comfortable moving between two store locations.
• Must demonstrate absolute honesty and accountability.
• Willingness to work extended hours during stock counts and audits.
• Zero tolerance for negligence, cover-ups, or falsification of records.

Salary
N90,000 - N110,000 / month
