Job Title: IT Manager

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s information technology infrastructure, systems, and operations. This role ensures the effective, secure, and reliable use of technology to support business goals, manages IT staff and vendors, and leads technology planning, implementation, and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and manage the organization’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and cloud services
• Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring system availability, performance, and security
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate IT staff and contractors
• Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices
• Manage cybersecurity, data protection, backups, and disaster recovery plans
• Coordinate system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations
• Monitor IT budgets, control costs, and manage vendor relationships and contracts
• Provide technical guidance and support to other departments
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and licensing requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues and escalations
• Align IT strategy with business objectives and future growth plans

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience) with 5-7 years experience
• Proven experience in IT management or a senior IT role
• Strong knowledge of networks, servers, operating systems, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications
• Experience managing IT teams, projects, and budgets
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, virtualization, and modern IT architectures
