Bosak Microfinance Bank Limited was incorporated in December 2009 with the business objective of providing financial service to micro clients who were excluded from the mainstream financial system. It commenced operations in June 2010 upon obtaining a Unit Microfinance Banking License from the Central Bank of Nigeria. It later obtained a State Microfinance Banking License in 2016.
Bosak Microfinance Bank Limited’s financial inclusion effort focuses on promoting savings culture, access to credit facilities for income-generation purposes and reducing vulnerability to risk through micro insurance.
The Bank’s major strategic focus employs the group lending methodology in its operations with a leaning towards women. The success of the bank’s group lending activities largely depends on group solidarity and cohesion.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: IT Help Desk
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
User Support & Training:
Provide first-level and second-level technical support to bank staff.
Create and manage employee profiles and login access for banking applications and mail servers.
Train staff on the use of banking software and computer applications.
Maintain and update error logs for system issues and resolutions.
Banking Application & System Operations:
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software issues related to banking applications and messaging systems.
Perform End-of-Day (EOD), End-of-Month (EOM), and End-of-Year (EOY) processing.
Manage the Bank’s SMS portal.
Conduct regular system monitoring to ensure optimal performance.
Data & Database Management:
Perform data backup and restoration procedures.
Administer databases using SQL, including maintenance and troubleshooting.
Ensure data integrity, availability, and security.
Network & Infrastructure Management:
Troubleshoot and manage the Bank’s Local Area Network (LAN).
Support networking and communication infrastructure, including LAN, IP phones, and related systems.
Manage hardware installations, maintenance, and repairs (printers, laptops, copiers, etc.).
Security & Compliance:
Manage and monitor security devices and systems.
Track and monitor the security of hardware and software systems, including malware and virus scans.
Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and security standards.
Vendor & Asset Management:
Liaise with IT vendors, technicians, software providers, and Internet Service Providers (ISP).
Monitor, order, and distribute computer and IT supplies.
Maintain records of IT assets and licenses.
Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare written documents such as internal memos, monthly subscription reports, letters, and meeting minutes.
Maintain and organize IT-related documents and files, including SLAs and receipts.
Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Information Technology or any related field.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of banking software and IT systems
Database administration (SQL)
Networking fundamentals (LAN, IP Phones)
Hardware and software maintenance
Good communication and documentation skills
Ability to work with vendors and service providers.
