MSCM-PPNL Subsea Solutions Nigeria Limited, a subsidiary of Padua Petroleum Nigeria Limited, is a totally independent privately funded Limited Company established in 2016 and incorporated in Nigeria. We specialize in the design and manufacture of Subsea Offshore Hydraulic distribution equipment supplied to control Subsea Production Systems. Our pride is in the Continuous development of our Subsea Technology Expertise and Employees. The joint venture was formed as a result of providing in-country support in African waters, initially the Nigerian region and with our quest to provide that, both PPNL & MSCM partnered to provide a turn-key solution utilizing PPNL’s local presence experience along with MSCM’s wide range of subsea products.

Job Title: Commercial Manager
Locations: Lagos and Port Harcourt - Rivers

Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement commercial plans to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and analyze competitor activity.
Lead sales efforts, manage client relationships, and expand the customer base.
Develop and pursue new business opportunities, while effectively managing existing ones.
Stay up to date with changes in relevant laws and regulations.
Successfully vendor registration with notable IOCs, Subsea EPCs and other indigenous companies.
Find new markets, clients, and partners through research, outreach, and networking.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and partners.
Secure high-value contracts and manage complex negotiations to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development, operations, and finance of other subsidiaries to align goals and ensure customer satisfaction.
Work with cross-functional teams like engineering, business development, and operation development of other subsidiaries to align goals and ensure customer satisfaction.
Monitor market trends, analyze competitor activity, and provide reports on performance, sales forecasts, and market insights.
Identify new opportunities for new contracts, come up with contract award winning bids/tender, negotiate and conclude such contracts at best possible terms.
Support the execution of ongoing contracts on commercial and contractual matters.
Analyze data and create reports to identify areas of business growth.
Strategic business analysis, analyzing market trends, keeping an eye on competition and coming up with new ways to stay ahead in the business.
Generate reports that show trends and impact to aid effective business decisions.
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports to the General Manager.
Any other assignment as directed by the Management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. An MBA in Engineering, Marketing or any Business-related field is an added advantage.
Extensive experience in technical sales, contract management, finance, or a related role in the oil and gas industry.
Minimum of 3-5years of experience in business development, sales, or partnership management.
A strong understanding of the oil and gas sectors and a relevant network within the industry, particularly in the company's operating region, is critical.
High level contacts and reach networks with the operators, regulators, IOCs and NOCs
Key Competencies and Skills:
Excellent business acumen with a track record of developing and implementing successful commercial strategies.
Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret market data to drive informed decision-making
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
Highly innovative, numerate and methodical with good verbal and written communication skills
Keen attention to details and ability to deliver results before deadline.
Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and comfortable using a computer for various tasks.
External: Clients, Regulatory bodies, PR Vendors, Stakeholders etc.
