We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Laboratory Scientist

Location: Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations and overall management of the diagnostic laboratory
• Conduct and supervise routine and specialized laboratory tests accurately and timely
• Ensure proper sample collection, handling, analysis, and reporting of results
• Implement and maintain quality assurance and quality control procedures
• Ensure strict adherence to laboratory safety standards and infection control protocols
• Maintain laboratory equipment, reagents, and inventory
• Supervise and provide guidance to laboratory support staff, where applicable
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional laboratory standards
• Prepare laboratory reports and maintain accurate records and documentation
• Liaise with management and healthcare providers as required.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field
• Must be a licensed and registered Medical Laboratory Scientist with the appropriate professional body
• Minimum of 5years relevant work experience in a diagnostic laboratory
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality control, and safety protocols
• Ability to manage laboratory operations independently
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Added Advantage:

• Prior experience in managing or supervising a diagnostic laboratory
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS).

Salary
N150,000 - N250,000 monthly.
