Description
Graphic Designer/Digital Marketing Specialist will be a creative graphic designer and marketing professional responsible for integrating marketing tactics with Operational and business development strategies to increase the branding visibility and revenue for various business units.
This position requires graphic and web design skills to develop a variety of digital, print and other mediums while ensuring brand continuity and consistency for marketing and communications.
This role requires a seasoned creative who can translate complex marketing objectives into engaging visual stories. You will be responsible for the end-to-end creation of visual assets while ensuring they are effectively administered across all digital touchpoints.
This role is team-centric, customer-focused, fast-paced and receives/provides art direction providing cutting-edge, creative thought and design solutions to marketing challenges for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Visual Content Creation: Design graphics for social media, websites, email campaigns, digital ads, infographics, and presentations.
Brand Consistency: Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines, maintaining a cohesive visual identity.
Campaign Support: Collaborate with marketing teams to develop creative concepts for campaigns that meet objectives.
Adaptability: Tailor visuals for different digital mediums (mobile, web, social).
Motion Graphics: Develop animated graphics, videos, or GIFs for digital engagement.
Trend Awareness: Stay updated on current design trends and digital marketing best practices.
Creative Direction: Lead the brainstorming and development of visual content strategies that align with long-term marketing goals.
High-Level Design: Produce professional-grade graphics, infographics, motion graphics, and video content for social media, websites, and email campaigns.
Brand Stewardship: Develop and maintain brand style guides to ensure visual consistency across all sister companies and platforms.
Asset Management & Administration: Organize and manage the digital asset library; oversee the scheduling and uploading of content via CMS and social media management tools.
UI/UX Collaboration: Work with the web team to ensure that digital content is not only beautiful but also functional and user-friendly.
Performance Optimization: Monitor how visual content performs (A/B testing designs) and adjust creative strategies based on engagement data.
Cross-Functional Support: Provide design support for internal presentations, corporate reports, and event branding.
Working closely with other staff, such as marketing managers, Software Developer (internally and externally), systems analysts and sales and marketing professionals
Developing flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions
Communicating design ideas and prototypes to developers
Proposing and sketching out a range of visual concepts both on paper and using software applications and translating concepts into wireframes, prototypes
Identifying areas for improvement and redesigning websites to make them more responsive
Ensuring all Companies Digital Platforms are updated with latest features
Continually updating technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and external courses, reading manuals and accessing new applications.
Stewarding and reviewing other staff activities with respect to daily upload on company e-commerce sites and ensuring daily, weekly and monthly targets are met.
Proactively and regularly updating platform materials as products, services and offerings change - and auditing content to in line with companies’ goals and strategies
Reviewing digital platforms content performance and adjusting accordingly.
Training other company users
Other Duties: Carrying out assigned duties for the company and sister companies as required.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Arts, Graphic Design, Marketing, Visual Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience
Must have 3-5 Years experience in a simialr role.
Software Proficiency: Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects)..Others include: SEO, Google Analytics, and Google AdWords etc.
Design Principles: Strong understanding of color theory, typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
Digital Expertise: Experience with web-specific design, UX/UI basics, and potentially motion graphics.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for collaborating with teams and presenting ideas.
Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing diverse digital design work.
Technical: Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (AI, PS, PR, AE) and Figma/Sketch.
Admin: Strong knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS) and SEO for image optimization.
Exceptional creativity and innovation.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
