Job Summary
The Service Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing accurate, competitive, and sustainable pricing models for logistics services.
The role ensures that all pricing proposals reflect true operational costs, commercial risks, and desired margins while remaining competitive in the market.
The position plays a critical role in supporting business development, contract negotiations, and long-term profitability.
Analyze cost components such as fuel, maintenance, driver costs, tolls, insurance, overheads, depreciation, and risk provisions.
Ensure pricing reflects operational realities, service levels, and compliance requirements.
Commercial Support to Business Development:
Support the Business Development team with accurate costings for RFQs, tenders, and client proposals.
Work closely with BD to structure pricing that balances competitiveness and profitability.
Participate in pricing reviews and bid clarification sessions with internal stakeholders.
Margin & Profitability Management:
Evaluate pricing margins and ensure alignment with company profitability targets.
Conduct sensitivity analysis to assess impact of cost fluctuations (fuel price changes, FX exposure, inflation).
Recommend pricing adjustments to protect margins over the contract lifecycle.
Operational Cost Validation:
Liaise with Operations, Fleet, HR, and Finance to validate:
Manpower costs
Fleet utilization assumptions
Maintenance and downtime projections
Route and distance assumptions
Ensure pricing inputs are realistic, defensible, and aligned with operational capacity.
Contract Pricing & Review:
Support contract renewals and re-pricing exercises.
Track pricing performance against actual operational costs and flag variances.
Recommend corrective pricing actions where cost overruns or under-recovery are identified.
Market & Competitive Intelligence:
Monitor market pricing trends and competitor benchmarks within the logistics industry.
Provide insights on pricing strategies used by competitors.
Support management with data-driven recommendations on pricing positioning.
Pricing Governance & Documentation:
Maintain standardized pricing templates and costing tools.
Ensure proper documentation and version control of all pricing submissions.
Support audits and internal reviews related to pricing decisions.
Reporting & Analytics:
Prepare pricing and margin analysis reports for management.
Track bid win/loss ratios and pricing effectiveness.
Support strategic planning with pricing analytics and forecasts.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Logistics, or related field.
3–7 years’ experience in pricing, costing, commercial analysis, or business analysis within logistics, transport, or supply chain.
Strong understanding of fleet operations and logistics cost structures is essential.
