Intersex Nigeria (Center for Healthcare Development and Youth Empowerment) is an intersex-led and focused Non-Governmental Organization in Nigeria. We promote and advocate for the sexual reproductive health, self-determination, bodily autonomy, and overall human rights of intersex people in all diversity in Nigeria. Through community building, advocacy, evidence-based research, empowerment, educational and informational resources on intersex-related issues to the public, partners, stakeholders, and our community.

Job Title: Program Manager

About the Position
The Program Manager key role is overseeing and coordinating multiple related projects within the organization to achieve strategic goals.
The primary focus is on aligning projects with organization’s objectives, ensuring successful outcomes, and optimizing resource use across the program.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Alignment:
Ensure all projects within the program align with the organization’s overall goals and objectives.
Define the program's vision, mission, and key outcomes.
Planning and Coordination
Program Planning: Develop a comprehensive program roadmap that outlines timelines, milestones, and deliverables for all related projects.
Resource Allocation: Coordinate and allocate resources (budget, staff, tools) across multiple projects to optimize efficiency and reduce redundancies.
Interdependency Management: Identify and manage interdepe ndencies among projects to ensure seamless execution.
Leadership and Oversight:
Provide guidance and direction to Project Managers or Program Officers and teams working on individual projects within the program.
Ensure effective collaboration and communication among stakeholders at all levels.
Act as a decision-maker in collaboration with executive director for issues that cross project boundaries.
Risk and Issue Management:
Identify risks that may impact the program's success and develop mitigation strategies.
Resolve conflicts or roadblocks between teams or projects.
Monitor and manage issues that arise during program execution.
Performance Monitoring:
Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the program's progress and success.
Regularly assess the performance of individual projects and their contribution to program objectives.
Provide detailed reports and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Communicate regularly with stakeholders to keep them informed about progress, risks, and challenges.
Manage expectations and ensure stakeholder needs are addressed.
Budget and Financial Oversight:
Develop and manage the overall program budget, ensuring projects stay within allocated resources.
Approve project budgets and monitor expenditures for alignment with financial plans.
Change Management:
Oversee changes across the program to ensure smooth adoption and integration.
Ensure that changes in scope, timelines, or resources are managed effectively.
Reporting and Evaluation
Provide consolidated program reports to the Executive Director, highlighting progress, risks, and outcomes.
Conduct post-program evaluations to assess success and identify areas for improvement.
Continuous Improvement:
Recommend improvements to project management processes and tools.
Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and innovation within the program team.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Leadership and Communication: Ability to lead teams and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Strategic Thinking: Aligning projects with long-term goals.
Problem-Solving: Managing risks, conflicts, and challenges.
