We promote and advocate for the sexual reproductive health, self-determination, bodily autonomy, and overall human rights of intersex people in all diversity in Nigeria. Through community building, advocacy, evidence-based research, empowerment, educational and informational resources on intersex-related issues to the public, partners, stakeholders, and our community.

Job Title: Logistics Officer

About the Position
The Logistics Officer will play a critical role in managing and coordinating the logistical operations necessary to support the Intersex Nigeria’s programs and activities.
They are to ensure the smooth movement of people, goods, and services while maintaining efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement and Supply Chain Management:
Procurement Coordination: Manage the sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of goods and services required for program implementation.
Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and service providers.
Inventory Control: Oversee the storage, tracking, and distribution of supplies and equipment to ensure availability and minimize waste or loss.
Transportation Management:
Transportation Planning: Coordinate the movement of staff, stakeholders, goods, and materials to program sites in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
Logistics for Events: Arrange transportation and logistical support for meetings, workshops, and field activities.
Storage Management:
Storage Oversight: Ensure that storage facilities are secure, organized, and comply with safety standards.
Stock Monitoring: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and ensure proper documentation for items.
Quality Control: Inspect items and supplies upon receipt and purchase to confirm they meet required standards.
Program Support:
Field Operations: Provide logistical support for field operations, including emergency response, community outreach, and distribution of aid.
Asset Management: Track and maintain records of organizational assets, such as equipment and tools used in projects.
Collaboration: Work closely with program managers and other departments to align logistics with program goals.
Budget and Financial Management:
Cost Management: Optimize logistical processes to minimize costs without compromising quality or efficiency.
Expense Tracking: Monitor and report on expenses related to transportation, procurement, and logistics operations.
Budget Planning: Contribute to the preparation of budgets for logistical components of projects and programs.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Policy Adherence: Ensure all logistical activities comply with internal policies, donor requirements, and local regulations.
Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks in logistics operations and implement mitigation measures.
Safety Standards: Promote and enforce health and safety protocols in logistics operations.
Reporting and Documentation:
Logistics Reporting: Maintain accurate records of procurement, transportation, inventory, and other logistics activities.
Audit Preparation: Prepare documents and reports for audits, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Performance Metrics: Track and analyse logistics performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous record-keeping and monitoring to avoid errors and discrepancies.
Negotiation Skills: Competence in negotiating contracts, prices, and delivery terms with suppliers and vendors.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with supply chain management tools, inventory systems, and fleet management software.
