Job Title: Business Development Executive (Oil & Gas)

Role Summary
The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, supporting revenue growth, and strengthening client relationships across the company’s oil and gas–related service offerings. The role focuses onprospecting, client engagement, proposal support, and market intelligence, working closely with sales, operations, and management to convert opportunities into contracts.
This role is both field-based and relationship-driven, requiring strong communication skills and a good understanding of the Nigerian oil & gas and logistics environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation:
Identify and develop new business opportunities across petroleum product haulage, pipeline-related services, procurement & delivery, and automotive sales and maintenance.
Source leads through market research, networking, referrals, site visits, and industry contacts.
Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients including oil marketing companies, depot operators, construction firms, fleet operators, and corporate organisations.
Schedule and attend client meetings, presentations, and site visits.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Understand client needs and recommend suitable company services.
Support contract negotiations and commercial discussions under the guidance of management.
Conduct follow-ups with prospects and clients to drive deal closure.
Assist in resolving client concerns in collaboration with operations and customer service teams.
Proposals, Tenders & Documentation:
Support the preparation of proposals, quotations, bids, and tender submissions.
Ensure all required documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
Liaise with internal teams to obtain pricing, technical details, and service capacity information.
Maintain records of submitted proposals and contract status.
Market Research & Intelligence:
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities within the oil & gas and logistics sector.
Gather information on depot activity, pipeline projects, fleet demand, and procurement opportunities.
Provide regular market feedback and insights to management to support strategic planning.
Internal Coordination & Reporting:
Work closely with sales, operations, logistics, procurement, and maintenance teams to align business development activities with operational capacity.
Prepare and submit regular activity reports, pipeline updates, and client feedback.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions and business opportunities.
Compliance & Professional Standards:
Conduct all business development activities in line with company policies and ethical standards.
Maintain awareness of relevant Nigerian oil & gas regulations and industry practices.
Promote the company’s safety, compliance, and professional image at all times.

Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience:
2–5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles.
Prior experience in oil & gas services, logistics, construction support, or automotive services is an advantage.
Experience engaging corporate or institutional clients in Nigeria is desirable.
