Finance Officer at Pro-Health International

Pro-Health International is a faith based Non-Governmental Organization based in Nigeria. We have been in exsitence for 35years. Our Vision is to improve the health of Africa’s people. We do this by providing qualitative and quantitative health care and hope to the poor and less privileged in rural parts of Africa at little or no cost to the beneficiaries. The organization has also benefitted from awards from CDC and USAID,in HIV/AIDS Prevention, care and Treamtment, Global health security, OVC, Immunization and currently, we are partnering withthe Danish Refugee Commission with funding from the EU to provide services for Protection and humanitarian assistance.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Finance Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: Finance Manager / Director of Finance

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer with at least five (5) years’ experience, a strong accounting background, and solid knowledge of taxation.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory and donor requirements, and supporting effective financial management across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial Management Report.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, statutory filings, and regulatory requirements.
• Calculate and remit PAYE, VAT, withholding tax, and other statutory deductions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Monitor expenditures and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
• Assist with internal and external audits and respond to audit queries.
• Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
• Support management with financial analysis and reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant work experience in a similar role.
• Strong accounting knowledge and hands-on experience with financial reporting.
• Good understanding of taxation and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in Tally accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
