The University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, Nigeria, is the first specialized University of Medical Sciences in Nigeria with the mandate to advance high level excellence through teaching, innovative research, and service delivery in all health sciences disciplines.

Job Title: Registrar
Location: Laje Road, Ondo City, Ondo
Job Summary
The Registrar is responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to-day administrative work of the University.
The Registry, through thes leadership of the Registrar, provides quality services that enables the University to achieve its goals in teaching, learning, research and community service.
Responsibilities
The Registrar is a Principal Officer of the University.
The candidate for the post shall be a visionary who can provide good leadership and command respect and loyalty of staff of the Registry.
The candidate must also possess integrity and demonstrable transparency.
The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University and Secretary to the Council, the Senate, Congregation and Convocation.
He/she must be computer literate and proficient in relevant computer applications to e-administration, as applicable to the running of a complex and modern University system.
Qualifications and Experience
The person for the post of Registrar is required to possess a good honours Degree, with at least Second Class Lower Division, and a Master's Degree from a recognised University and must have at least fifteen (15) unbroken years post-qualification administrative experience and must have served as a Deputy Registrar in a recognised University or an Institution of comparable status for at least three years.
Membership of a recognized professional body such as ANUPA,NIM, CIPM, etc. is required.
Tenure
The appointment shall be for a single non-renewable term of five (5) years. He/she must not be older than sixty (60) years as at the time of taking up the appointment.
Remuneration and Conditions of Service
The remuneration and conditions of service are as applicable to the position of Registrar in Nigerian Public Universities, and as may be determined by the University Governing Council from time to time.
