Roles and Responsibilities
The Paco/Instrumentation Support will be responsible for the following:
Onsite responsibility for safe supervision of technicians during work execution.
Ensure performance assurance and proactive health checks of the associated components of the Robertshaw Panel integrated Control, Safety Instrumented and Fire & Gas Systems.
Ensure periodic health checks on Human Machine Interface workstations and
Servers. Systems fault diagnosis and recovery. Of Allen Bradley, DeltaV, Foxboro, Solar
Turbine, Siemen, System one etc.
Access and interpret Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID); Cause and
Instrument Loop Drawings (ILD) and Process Engineering Flow Scheme (PEFS) required for fault tracing and issues resolutions.
Work closely with service Contractor(s) towards safe delivery of vendor-based maintenance jobs.
Initiate and follow up with spares procurement towards expedited delivery for maintenance execution.
Ensure technical integrity of assets through Preventive and Corrective Maintenance activities, quality assurance and performance standard verification of safety critical equipment.
Ensure field instrumentation availability and reliability towards meeting business targets on hydrocarbon processing and export operations.
Maintain Systems availability for the continuous operation of the facility.
Identifying critical spares and follow-up ordering and delivery.
Integrate with other disciplines to achieve Asset integrity on continuous basis.
Promotes site safety and continuous hazard identification, mitigation, and close-out.
Other assignments for continuous improvements as exigent.
Work Cycle:
The work location is a water and land-field based in West Shell Facilities accessible via water and Air.
The job activity period is daily on 12 hours (7am to 7pm) routine over a 21-day period.
There is a standard 3weeks on and 3weeks off schedule.
The successful candidate will manage own absences with his/her contractor for suitable qualified covers.
There may be need for periodic visits to Shell industrial area for training and official assignments.
Personnel may be required to work extended hours as need may arise.
Requirements
Academics Qualifications
A qualification (OND/HND/Bachelors) in the electrical/electronic Engineering Discipline.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in an oil and gas facility working as an Instrumentation Technician.
Experience in any RENAISSANCE facility will be an added advantage.
Skills:
Experience in actuator valves and ESD systems maintenance
Skill in PAS and fire & gas protection systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Skill in Safeguarding systems maintenance.
Field Instrumented Pneumatic / DCS systems.
Skill in CAO/SCADA/DeltaV/Allen Bradley Systems.
Skill in PLC system configuration and troubleshooting
Skill in fiscal metering.
Skill in gas treatment/conditioning and chromatograph
Soft Skills (Added advantage)
Ability a lead to team for safe execution of task onsite.
Ability to work under minimal supervision.
Perform basic computer related activities.
Knowledge and use of SAP tools and the perimetry process.
Knowledge of worksite hazard mgt and perimetry systems
Ability to multitask effectively.
Communication & teamworking.
Ability to work under pressure.
