Job Title: Chef Assistant 

Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Chef Assistant will support the Chef and Cooks in daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and maintaining cleanliness.
• This role is ideal for someone who is energetic, willing to learn, and able to work in a fast-paced food service environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in basic food preparation such as washing, peeling, slicing, and cutting ingredients
• Help in measuring and organizing ingredients for cooking
• Support cooks during meal preparation and service periods
• Clean and sanitize kitchen utensils, equipment, and work surfaces
• Ensure proper storage of food items and ingredients
• Help maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen at all times
• Dispose of kitchen waste properly and follow hygiene rules
• Assist in receiving and arranging food supplies

• Follow instructions from the Chef and Eatery Manager

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of SSCE qualification
• Previous experience in a kitchen or food business is an advantage but not compulsory
• Willingness to learn and grow in the food service industry
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and busy kitchen
• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
• Good personal hygiene and neat appearance
• Must live in Ikorodu or nearby areas
