HISP Nigeria is a member of the Global HISP Network, a global collaborative association made up of 23 local HISP groups (and counting!), which are local legal entities based in- country in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas, plus the HISP Centre at the University of Oslo (HISP UiO). The team is made up of dedicated staff of professionals from the informatics, public health and epidemiology domains and draws upon the community of the Global Health Information Systems Program (HISP) Networks for specific expertise. Job Description
DHIS2 is an open-source, license-free, data management platform developed by the HISP Centre at the University of Oslo and the global HISP network, provided free of charge as a digital public good.
More than 80 low- and middle-income countries worldwide use DHIS2 for collecting and analyzing health data, and DHIS2 for Education extends the platform from the health sector to the education sector—enabling the collection, analysis, visualization, and use of individual and aggregate data from institutions of learning.
It harnesses decades of DHIS2 experience with national-level systems, offering a stable, scalable, and customizable education management information system (EMIS) solution supported by the DHIS2 development team and global HISP network, and allows countries to leverage their existing DHIS2 capacity and expertise.
This is a project coordinator role for the assigned projects in the organization including participating in planning, budgeting, field activities, data collection and management. Position supports relevant information systems, logistics and donor reports for the projects.

Main Duties
The project coordinator will work under the Technical Implementation and Support Team Lead:
Position will support the administrative tasks of the project.
The position will make sure all team members and departments have what is needed to meet the deadlines and milestones set by the Program manager.
In order to do this, the project coordinator must be familiar with every aspect of the project, including all short and long-term goals, the entire project
Calendar, and budgeting details:
The position will ensure that activities are implemented according to plans and budgets, donor requirements and that activities are executed in line with acceptable quality standards in ways that are responsive to project and organizational needs
The project coordinator’s role will be focused on overseeing the execution of all the tasks specified in the project work plan.
The position in collaboration with other relevant staff is responsible for compiling monthly, quarterly and end of project reports and action plans of the project as per the organizational and donor formats ready for submission to stakeholders and HISP Nigeria management.
Participate in technical proposals and grant writing to secure funding and sustain operations of the organization.
Provide routine update on project implementation status to Program Manager, and the HISP Nigeria management team
Required qualifications
Expertise in education technology and information systems in Sub-Saharan African contexts
Experience in project coordination/management
Strong understanding of DHIS2 and its applications in education is an advantage but not a requirement
Knowledge of capacity building approaches for sustainable digital innovations
Understanding of international development and global education initiatives
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
Experience working on a donor-funded project will be a added advantage
Other Duties:
Other duties may be required from time to time, including responsibilities which require work on weekends and holidays.
