Job Title: Finance & Fundraising Executive

Location: Hybrid (Remote-first with periodic in-person collaboration)
Employment Type: Flexible (Full-Time / Fractional / Long-Term Contract)

Role Overview

• The Finance & Fundraising Executive will own Circo’s financial strategy, fundraising readiness, and investor engagement.
• This role sits at the intersection of finance, strategy, and storytelling and is a close partner to the CEO.
• You will shape how Circo presents itself to investors, manage financial planning and runway, and build the financial systems required to scale responsibly.
• This role may begin as fractional and evolve into a full-time leadership position as the company grows.

Responsibilities
Fundraising & Investor Readiness:

• Lead fundraising preparation for pre-seed and seed rounds
• Build and maintain financial models, projections, and scenarios
• Prepare investor materials including decks, financial narratives, and data rooms
• Support investor meetings, diligence processes, and follow-ups.

Investor Relations:

• Manage ongoing investor communications and updates
• Maintain strong relationships with angels, VCs, and strategic partners
• Ensure financial transparency and consistency in reporting.

Financial Strategy & Operations:

• Own budgeting, forecasting, and runway management
• Advise leadership on capital allocation, unit economics, and growth trade-offs
• Establish financial processes, controls, and reporting standards
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and advisors.

Requirements

• 7+ years in finance, strategy, venture, investment, or startup finance
• Proven experience supporting or leading fundraising (angel, VC, or grants)
• Strong financial modelling and forecasting skills
• Experience in early-stage or high-growth environments
• Clear, confident communicator with investors and founders.
