Job Title: Factory Accountant

General

• Successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of task, including Team Development and management, Production operations Accounting & reporting, Sales Accounting & Revenue Assurance, Compliance and Statutory reporting, Internal Controls& audit reconciliation, Tax filing and management, Process improvement and Sustainability.
• Organize and oversees the factory Accounting & finance function, form and manage a formidable Accounting &finance structure to ensure close alignment to business needs and changes in processes.
• Full responsibility and custody of the general ledger, this includes maintenance of the Accounts Payable and Receivables, Bank reconciliations, Inventory Management and movement reconciliations.
• Review and ensure proper approvals for all payments, ensuring proper classification and reconciliation for all transactions including the petty cash system and reimbursements and bank payments processing.
• Responsible for Budgeting & budgetary reviews, financial controls, reporting and other financial management processes.
• Provide stewardship for the business internal control framework and process assurance, supporting the business for effective compliance with both internal policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements at both federal and state levels.
• Manage flawlessly, annual statutory audits and tax compliance audit processes.

Experiences & Qualifications

• Previous/Current Experience working as Factory Accountant/Head of Accounts in a food & beverage manufacturing company for at least 5 yearsis an high advantage.
• ACCA/ACA qualified/qualified accountant or equivalent
• Previous manufacturing experience/sound manufacturing background with 10 years post qualification
• Good knowledge of costing/factory processes
• Familiarity with Tally ERP
• Good systems knowledge analysis
• Strong communication skills as a large part of the role will comprise of relating financial issues to non-finance managers.
• Tenacious and able to challenge the status quo when required .
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Capable of working pro-actively with an innovative approach to problem solving
• High degree of IT literacy
• Strong computer skills (Access, Excel, Word, Manufacturing Operating Systems) ability to be flexible with different systems.
• Strong financial & analytical skills; planning, organizing skills & problem-solving skills
• Background from similar sized organisation especially pet bottled beverage company experience of business and Factory management.
• Residents in Kano and environsand/or can easily relocate to kano state is highly prefered.

N250,000 - N400,000 monthly.
