Job Title: Internal Auditor (FMCG)

Job Summary
The Internal Auditor will be responsible for independently assessing the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes across the organization.
The ideal candidate will bring strong FMCG industry experience, ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and financial integrity across manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and distribution activities.
Key Responsibilities
Audit & Risk Management:
Plan and execute risk-based internal audits across finance, operations, supply chain, sales, and distribution functions.
Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Identify control gaps, operational inefficiencies, and potential fraud risks, and recommend practical improvements.
Conduct audits of inventory, cost of production, warehousing, and distribution processes typical to FMCG operations.
Compliance & Governance:
Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Review adherence to SOPs across factories, depots, and sales locations.
Support management in strengthening governance structures and control frameworks.
Reporting & Follow-Up:
Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting findings, risks, and actionable recommendations.
Present audit outcomes to management and relevant committees.
Monitor and follow up on the implementation of agreed corrective actions.
Process Improvement & Advisory:
Provide advisory support to management on risk mitigation and process optimization.
Participate in special reviews, investigations, and ad-hoc assignments as required.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across business operations.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
6–8 years of internal audit experience, with proven FMCG industry exposure.
Experience in auditing manufacturing, inventory management, sales, and distribution operations is essential.
Professional certifications such as ICAN, ACCA, CPA, or CIA are highly preferred.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of audit standards, internal control frameworks, and risk management.
Deep understanding of FMCG operations, cost structures, and supply chain processes.
Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
Strong report writing and presentation skills.
High level of integrity, independence, and professionalism.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other audit/ERP tools.

Strong ethical standards and confidentiality.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple audits.
Confident communicator able to engage stakeholders across all levels.
Salary
N400,000 - N750,000 per month.
