The Social Media Manager will be responsible forbuilding, managing, and scaling Fortitude IoT’s digital presenceacross all relevant social platforms
This role sits at the intersection ofbrand storytelling, community building, lead generation, and performance marketing, ensuring that Fortitude IoT and its business units are positioned asinnovative, credible, and growth-focused technology brands.
The ideal candidate understands tech, platforms, and data, and can translate complex IoT, retail-tech, energy, and digital commerce solutions intoengaging, conversion-driven content.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Planning:
Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with Fortitude IoT’s business objectives across B2B and B2C units.
Own the monthly and quarterly content calendar, ensuring consistency across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube where relevant).
Align social media plans with product launches, campaigns, partnerships, and offline activations.
Content Creation & Storytelling:
Lead the creation of high-quality content including posts, reels, carousels, short videos, motion graphics, and thought-leadership pieces.
Collaborate with designers, videographers, copywriters, and external agencies to deliver brand-aligned content.
Community Management & Engagement:
Manage day-to-day posting, comments, DMs, and community interactions across all platforms.
Build and nurture active online communities around Fortitude IoT, its sub-brands, partners, agents, and users.
Act as the first line of social listening—flagging customer insights, trends, and potential reputational risks.
Performance Marketing & Growth:
Plan and manage social media campaigns to drive awareness, lead generation, app downloads, and conversions.
Work closely with the performance marketing team to optimise campaign targeting, creatives, and funnels.
Support employer acquisition, agent onboarding, and merchant growth initiatives through social channels.
Analytics, Reporting & Optimisation:
Track and report on key KPIs: reach, engagement, follower growth, CTR, CPL, conversions, and ROI.
Use insights to continuouslyoptimise content formats, posting times, and messaging.
Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports with actionable recommendations.
Brand Governance & Reputation:
Ensure all content adheres to Fortitude IoT brand guidelines, tone of voice, and visual identity.
Support crisis communication and reputation management when required.
Stay up to date with social media trends, platform updates, and best practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
2 - 4 years experience as a Social Media Manager or Digital Marketing Specialist.
Proven experience managing multiple brand accounts or business units.
Strong understanding of B2B and B2C social media dynamics.
Core Skills & Competencies:
Strong copywriting and visual storytelling skills
Hands-on experience with social media tools (Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout, etc.)
Solid understanding of paid social advertising
Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills
Ability to work cross-functionally with product, sales, design, and external partners
Excellent communication, organisation, and time-management skills.
Nice to Have:
Experience working in IoT, retail tech, energy, logistics, or platform ecosystems
Basic knowledge of Google Analytics, social listening tools, and CRM integration
Experience supporting offline-to-online activations and community-led growth
Understanding of the Nigerian and African digital ecosystem.
