Job Title: In-House Legal Counsel

Location: Federal Capital Territory, Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our management tean as anIn-House Legal Counsel.
• The occupant of this role willprovide legal guidance across various aspects of the business, including commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and risk management.
• The ideal candidate must have strong problem-solving skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Carry out legal research on different tasks under Nigerian laws;
• Reviewing of documentation partianing to our business (Mineral exploration and processing);
• Providing summary of regulations and laws that affects the Nigerian solid mineralsector for executive consumption;
• Drafting of variety of legal documents on request from the head of legal;
• Providing advice on corporate legal issues and business matters;
• Reviewing and advising Management on legal implications for Internal Policies and procedures;
• Reviewing and drafting Contracts, Agreements, & Internal Policies to ensure they are in compliance with all statutory andlegal requirements;
• Developing and leading corporate lagel strategies to promote and protect the Company's interests;
• Resolving all potential or existing cases, suits, disputes, litigations and (or) arbitration alongside external legal consultants that will be engaged from time to time;
• Handling Company secretarial work and carry out other responsibilities as may be required by the Company.

Requirements

• The candidate must be a top tier law school graduate;
• Hold a Master degree in Law (LLM) with solid foundation and passion for law and it's application;
• 3-10years working experience as a business advisory or litigation lawyer (priorexperience in the Nigerian Energysector is a plus);
• Experienced in Commercial, Corporate Law and Dispute Resolution;
• The idle candidate must be a team player, humble, diligent, ethical, articulate, analytic, self-motivated, problem-solver and able to work in an International Company.

What we offer

• Salary: N350,000 - N500,000 per month
