We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales Representative (Plumbing Materials)

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Sales Representative (Plumbing Materials) is responsible for promoting and selling plumbing products to retailers, contractors, plumbers, developers, and project sites.
  • The role focuses on growing sales volume, expanding customer base, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring timely order fulfillment while meeting assigned sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:

  • Promote and sell plumbing materials such as pipes, fittings, valves, sanitary wares, water heaters, and accessories.
  • Identify and develop new customers including plumbing contractors, building material dealers, hardware stores, and construction sites.
  • Visit existing and prospective customers regularly to generate orders and maintain relationships.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build long-term relationships with plumbers, contractors, site supervisors, and store owners.
  • Provide product information, pricing, and usage guidance to customers.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and after-sales support professionally.

Market Intelligence & Reporting:

  • Monitor competitor products, pricing, and market trends.
  • Provide feedback on customer demand and product performance.
  • Submit daily or weekly sales reports, customer visit logs, and market updates.

Order & Payment Management:

  • Take accurate customer orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Follow up on payments and outstanding invoices as required.
  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure stock availability.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Sales revenue and volume achieved
  • New customers acquired
  • Customer retention rate
  • Payment collection efficiency
  • Market coverage and visit frequency.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Interested candidates should possess an HND, OND, NCE, or Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years experience

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Target-driven and self-motivated.
  • Basic record-keeping and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Preferred Requirements
  • Experience selling to plumbers, contractors, and project sites.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned territory.
  • Familiarity with local markets and suppliers.

Salary
N150,000 + (Target Sales Performance Bonus around #500,000)
