Job Summary

• The Quality Assurance Manager will lead and oversee all quality assurance and testing activities.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing quality standards, managing QA teams, developing testing strategies, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality telecommunications systems, applications, and services that meet business objectives and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies, policies, and standards aligned with MTN's business objectives and telecommunications industry best practices
• Define and establish quality frameworks, methodologies, and governance structures across all testing activities and project lifecycles
• Set quality goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and service level agreements (SLAs) for the QA function measuring team performance and quality outcomes
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing quality assurance team including QA engineers, test analysts, automation engineers, and test coordinators
• Oversee comprehensive analysis of all baseline requirements documentation ensuring completeness, clarity, and alignment with business objectives
• Guide development of detailed Test Plans for each testing level (unit, integration, system, regression, UAT, performance) ensuring consistency and alignment
• Review and approve Master Test Plans ensuring comprehensive testing approach, appropriate test levels, and clear quality gates
• Ensure proper test environment management, test data management, and configuration management practices are in place
• Implement quality management systems aligned with ISO standards, CMMI, or other relevant quality frameworks.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications Engineering, or related technical field.
• Professional certifications in Quality Assurance Management (ISTQB Advanced/Expert Level, CSTE, CSQA, Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, or equivalent)
• Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in software quality assurance and testing roles
• Minimum 3-5 years in QA leadership or management positions leading teams and managing quality functions
• Proficiency with test management tools, defect tracking systems, and quality management platforms
• Understanding of test automation frameworks, tools, and implementation strategies
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
