Job Description

• We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Mathematics and Computer Science Teacher to join our educational institution in Benin City, Nigeria.
• The ideal candidate will inspire and educate students in both mathematics and computer science, fostering a love for these subjects and preparing students for future academic and career success.
• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans in mathematics and computer science for students at various grade levels
• Teach a range of mathematical concepts, from basic arithmetic to advanced calculus
• Instruct students in computer science fundamentals, programming languages, and software development
• Create and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth
• Assess student performance through assignments, projects, and exams
• Provide constructive feedback and additional support to students as needed
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance curriculum and teaching methods
• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in mathematics and computer science education
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Valid teaching certification 
• Strong knowledge of mathematics and computer science concepts
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans
• Strong classroom management skills
• Familiarity with educational technology and its application in the classroom
• Up-to-date knowledge of mathematics and computer science trends in education
• Understanding of educational theories and best practices
• Previous teaching experience preferred
• Experience in curriculum development is a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
• Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with students
• Willingness to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs
