Mission / Purpose of the Job
The Project Planner and Controller is responsible for ensuring effective planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control of all projects to achieve timely delivery at optimal cost.
The Project Planner and Controller provide technical and professional planning support to the CEO and Project Management team, ensuring alignment with the company’s annual plans, project execution strategies, and performance targets.
Job Responsibilities
Project Planning
Prepares up to level IV schedule for all projects using Primavera 6
Ensure the profitable & timely execution of projects on hand by planning & effective distribution of available resources for the Project Manager/ Engineer.
Supports the Project Manager / Engineer in the setup of the Project Execution Strategy and Contract Master Schedule, aimed at managing project planning, reporting, and control-related matters
Ensuring the Integration of the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation Plan, developing a complete lifetime contract master-schedule/ progress measurement sheet
Prepare Work Breakdown and Cost Structure as well as support the on MDR by DCC
Support the Project Manager/ Engineer and the Contract Manager involved in the preparation of the Claim/Project Change Proposal
Establish an effective mechanism for identifying issues that may affect the timely completion of the Project by drawing the attention of the CEO and the PM for prompt/remedial action
Support the Project Department in the collection and capitalization of the know-how on the previous projects, by means of accurate recording of data and historical information
Provide support to the Project Management team in reporting progress status, progress plan Vs. Actual, forecast, critical path, float, slacks and the Close Out report
Support the Tendering Team in the preparation of the Project Schedule/ Manpower Histogram
Project Implementation
Manages unforeseen crises to ensure successful Project execution
Evaluate the key activities and milestones on each project to monitor targets and actual.
Tendering:
Assists in Tendering Processes
Provide Technical Support to the Proposal and Business Development Team
Any other tasks may be assigned by the COMPANY
Job Specifications: Minimum & Preferred Requirements
Education / Business Degree:
HND/B.Sc. Degree in the Engineering discipline
Minimum of 8 years of post qualification experience; 5 of which must have been spent managing 3 complex EPC Project Schedule and Control
Must have experience using Project Planner software, Primavera 6, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, etc
Professional Qualification and additional qualification in Project Planning/ Management
Work Experience:
Minimum 8 Years
