Job Title: Electrical Manager
Location: Akure, Ondo
Job Description
We are seeking talented professionals who are passionate about socio-economic development through agricultural and Agro-allied investments.
The Electrical Manager is responsible for ensuring reliable, safe, and efficient electrical systems that sustain uninterrupted factory operations and support Matna’s production discipline, quality standards, and cost efficiency.
This role provides technical leadership over all electrical infrastructure, equipment, and power systems within the processing plant, ensuring that electrical reliability directly contributes to reduced downtime, optimal equipment performance, and stable production flow.
The Electrical Manager works closely with Production, Maintenance, QA, and Safety teams to maintain a high-performance operating environment.
Responsibilities
Lead the maintenance, reliability, and performance of all electrical systems, panels, motors, drives, and control systems within the plant
Ensure stable power supply and proper load management to prevent production interruptions
Plan and implement preventive and corrective electrical maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
Support production efficiency by ensuring electrical systems enable optimal equipment operation and process flow
Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and upgrades
Enforce strict electrical safety standards and compliance across all plant activities
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to quickly diagnose and resolve electrical faults affecting operations
Maintain accurate documentation of electrical systems, maintenance schedules, and technical records
Support energy management initiatives to reduce power waste and improve cost efficiency
Guide and supervise electrical technicians and contractors to ensure high technical standards and process discipline
Ensure availability of critical electrical spares and proper inventory management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or related field
8–12 years’ experience in electrical maintenance within FMCG, food processing, agro-processing, or industrial manufacturing
Strong experience with industrial motors, control panels, drives, PLC systems, and power distribution
Proven ability to manage electrical reliability in a factory or processing environment
Good understanding of preventive maintenance systems and equipment uptime management
Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and compliance practices
Experience supervising technical teams and contractors
Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues under production pressure
High level of technical discipline, attention to detail, and problem-solving capability
Proficiency in technical documentation and maintenance reporting
