Jhpiego is seeking to hire a Graphic Designer & Communications officer to provide specialized graphic design, layout, visualization and communication support for the C19 RM End of project documentation and Impact Evaluation and other GHS and QI initiatives, ensuring that analytical findings are translated into clear, professional, and donor-ready visual products.
The role will support graphics and layout designs for reports, manuscripts, dashboards, briefs, presentations, dissemination materials, ensuring consistency with Jhpiego branding requirements and donor communication standards.
Responsibilities
Reporting & Knowledge Products:
Design and format EOPD and Impact Evaluation reports, technical briefs, executive summaries, and annexes.
Support layout and visual presentation of manuscripts, policy briefs, and learning products.
Develop tables, charts, infographics, and visual summaries that accurately reflect evaluation findings.
Enhance clarity, coherence, and readability of complex technical content without altering analytical meaning.
Dissemination & Presentation Materials:
Design presentation decks for validation workshops, dissemination events, and stakeholder briefings.
Develop factsheets, one-pagers, and visual summaries tailored to different audiences (technical, policy, donor).
Support packaging of evaluation findings for digital and print dissemination.
Branding, Quality & Compliance:
Ensure all design products comply with Jhpiego branding guidelines and donor visibility requirements.
Maintain consistency in fonts, color schemes, icons, and visual identity across all evaluation products.
Review drafts for visual accuracy and alignment with approved content.
Coordination & Production Support:
Work closely with the Program Manager to manage design timelines and revisions.
Incorporate feedback from technical teams and stakeholders efficiently.
Prepare final files for printing or digital dissemination, liaising with printers or service providers as required.
Maintain organized archives of design files and final products.
Support visual communication needs related to the Impact Evaluation, EOP documentation, and other Jhpiego Quality Improvement (QI) and Global Health Security (GHS) deliverables, as assigned.
Contribute to strengthening Jhpiego’s institutional knowledge products through high-quality design and visualization.
Other Duties:
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor in line with the Impact Evaluation, EOP documentation and other Jhpiego QI and GHS deliverable.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Computer Science, or a related field
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience providing graphic design support to development, research, or evaluation projects.
Experience working with international development organizations or donor-funded programs.
Demonstrated experience designing reports, infographics, and technical publications
Experience supporting research, evaluation, or knowledge products is a strong advantage.
Required Technical Skills & Software Proficiency:
Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
Microsoft PowerPoint (advanced formatting and design)
Microsoft Word (layout and formatting support)
Ability to work with charts, tables, and data visualizations provided by analysts
Familiarity with print production and digital publishing formats
