Job Summary

• The Key Purpose of this role is to facilitate continuous sustainable improvement in product quality throughout the value chain by optimizing brewing technology and ensuring compulsory adherence to standards.
• Through VPO practices, this role is to ensure that there is a superior performance relating to Governance against standards, Trending and aiding in foresight of the department, and Innovation aspects, all executed through correct VPO practices.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Governance:

• Ensuring that the brewery complies with all global technical governance requirements.
• Control and ensure implementation of local and franchise brewing manual content.
• Regulate concession and permit systems.
• Enforce adherence to standards governed through the PTS (Process & Product Technical Specifications).

Plant Auditing:

• Audit of plants against standard audit template.
• Identify non-compliance and opportunities.
• Give specific recommendations to the brewing manager and plant manager regarding action required.
• Feedback to Zone Brewing Manager and highlight areas of concern.

Implementation changes related to projects and innovation:

• Co-ordinate process changes.
• Co-ordinate quality improvements.
• Co-ordinate Global Brands brewing.
• Co-ordinate project implementation in the Brewing department.

Problem Solving:

• Identification of out of control situations or trends from quality results and process monitoring.
• Work with Brewing manager to resolve the problems using VPO tools and practices.

Ensure pro-activeness in brewing process:

• Ensure that appropriate process monitoring and control systems are in place.
• VPO driven MCRS must allow for adequate identification of brewing concerns.
• Monitor all aspects of raw materials.
• Ensure deep understanding of VPO standards.

Requirements

• BSc Degree or equivalent in Biological Sciences, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
• Completed Brewing Traineeship
• Checked out brewer
• 2 years of experience as Brewing Area manager in Brewhouse, Cellars and/or Filtration.
• At least 2 years production experience
• Demonstrated experience in driving commercial decisions in a brewery (financial, operational, people).
• Good understanding of Standard Work Practices and VPO methodologies Exceptional knowledge of MES, eQMS, PaQT, PTS
