Job Title: Operations & Business Development Associate

Job Summary

• Our Client is looking for a driven young lawyer (NYSC to 2 years post-call) to join as an operations lead. This is an opportunity to shape a company from the ground up, take ownership of operational and strategic decisions, and build a legal tech business that makes a real impact.
• As operations lead, you will report to the founder and assistwithoperations, strategy, client engagement, and business development. You must be tech-savvy, confident, comfortable with public speaking, and willing to take bold decisions. Prior work experience is a plus but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Operations & Execution: Ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly and that projects are delivered efficiently.
• Business Development & Client Engagement: Meet clients, pitch the company’s solutions, and develop partnerships.
• Product & Tech Strategy: Collaborate with the tech team to shape the product roadmap, suggest improvements, and test features.
• Marketing & Communication: Craft high-quality written content, presentations, and communications for clients and investors.
• Team & Culture: Build and lead a small team, foster collaboration, and create processes for scaling the company.
• Decision-Making: Make informed business decisions based on data, market trends, and operational insights.
• Fundraising & Strategy: Assist in investor presentations, pitch decks, and strategic planning to scale the company.

Ideal Candidate (Qualifications & Skills)

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and called to the bar. Non-lawyers may apply, if interested.
• NYSC completed; 0–2 years post-call experience.
• Tech-savvy, eager to learn and engage with legal tech tools.
• Confident, proactive, and comfortable making business decisions.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and public speaking skills.
• Comfortable working in teams and leading initiatives.
• Entrepreneurial mindset. You able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-responsibility startup environment.
• Prior experience in legal, tech, or business operations is an advantage but not required.

Salary
N200,000 - N400,000 per month.
