Job Title: Business Development / Sales Manager

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a high performing Business Development/Sales Manager to drive strategic growth, expand our corporate and individual training markets, build strong industry partnerships, and position the Organization as the top destination for tech and vocational skills development.

Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development:

  • Drive the Academy’s overall business development strategy to increase enrolment, partnerships, and revenue.
  • Identify new business opportunities across corporate, government, and institutional segments.
  • Conduct market research to assess industry talent needs and align offerings with emerging trends.
  • Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies for new programs and training initiatives.

Sales & Revenue Growth:

  • Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing for corporate and individual clients.
  • Develop sales forecasts, pipelines, and monthly/quarterly revenue projections.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets for B2B and B2C channels.
  • Manage relationships with existing clients to secure renewals and upsell opportunities.

Client & Stakeholder Relationship & Partnership Acquisition Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with HR teams, learning departments, industry leaders, employers, and government agencies to support training and enrollment objectives.
  • Represent the Academy at industry events, conferences, and other stakeholder engagements to enhance brand visibility and influence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and deliver customised training solutions tailored to client and industry needs.
  • Secure strategic partnerships with tech companies, certification bodies, employers, and institutions to strengthen program offerings and industry alignment.
  • Drive internship and job placement partnerships to support learner employability and successful post‑training outcomes.
  • Build alliances that enhance brand credibility, expand market reach, and contribute to overall learner and institutional success.

Marketing & Brand Enablement:

  • Work with the marketing team to design campaigns that drive program enrolment.
  • Provide customer feedback and market insights to optimise product offerings and positioning.
  • Create compelling sales presentations, proposals, and pitches.

Reporting & Performance Analysis:

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly business development and sales reports.
  • Track sales performance metrics and present insights to senior management.
  • Use CRM tools to maintain accurate client records and pipeline activity.

Process Improvement:

  • Recommend improvements to sales processes, lead management, and customer engagement pathways.
  • Ensure operational efficiency across sales and business development workflows.
  • Leverage digital tools and sales automation platforms to enhance performance

Enrollment Management, Customer Interaction & Conversion Tracking:

  • Manage daily outbound and inbound calls to new leads and existing customers to drive engagement and enrollment.
  • Monitor the full enrollment pipeline, track learner progress, and identify drop‑off points across the application journey.
  • Conduct consistent follow‑ups with prospects and active learners to ensure enrollment, continued participation, and successful completion.
  • Track and document all customer interactions across CRM, LMS, website forms, chat, and other digital platforms.
  • Ensure every lead moves through the funnel—from inquiry to application, enrollment, and completion.
  • Maintain accurate CRM logs of interactions, conversions, and enrollment statuses.
  • Provide weekly performance reports including call volume, leads contacted, conversion rates, enrollment numbers, application completions, and drop‑off insights with recommended interventions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field.
  • 3–5years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within education, technology, or training.
  • Proven track record of meeting revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of the tech training market.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools.
  • Attitude Expectations: - Driven, resultsoriented, and execution focused.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking with a strategic mindset.
