Position Summary

• The Senior/Lead Project Engineer/Project Coordinator is responsible for providing technical leadership, project planning, execution oversight, and coordination across multidisciplinary project teams.
• The role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards and company procedures.
• The position requires strong engineering expertise, excellent communication skills, and proven experience managing complex projects within the oil & gas industry.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination:

• Lead the development of project execution plans, schedules, work breakdown structures, and resource plans.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Organize and participate in project review meetings, ensuring timely resolution of design and construction issues.
• Track progress against plans, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide senior-level technical input and guidance on all engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with industry codes and project requirements.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Support procurement of materials and equipment, including technical evaluations and vendor clarifications.
• Ensure constructability considerations are incorporated early into engineering design.
• Oversee field engineering activities, ensuring construction is executed according to approved drawings and standards.
• Liaise with construction supervisors, site teams, and contractors to address technical queries and site changes.
• Monitor contractor performance, ensuring adherence to safety procedures, quality standards, and project timelines.
• Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and KPIs to project management and clients.
• Support cost control, budget tracking, and change management processes.
• Prepare technical reports, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
• Ensure all engineering and construction activities comply with QHSE policies and regulatory standards.
• Promote a strong safety culture among project teams and contractors.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical, or related discipline).
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in project engineering, project coordination, and/or construction supervision within oil & gas sector.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing complex projects from design to commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, project management methodologies, and construction practices.
• Proficient in project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and engineering software relevant to specialization.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
