We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales Representative

Job Summary

  • The Herbaceutical Sales Representative (OTC) is responsible for promoting, distributing, and selling the company’s herbaceutical and over-the-counter products to pharmacies, patent medicine vendors (PMVs), supermarkets, and other retail outlets.
  • The role focuses on building strong customer relationships, increasing product visibility, and driving consistent sales growth within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Distribution:

  • Promote and sell company herbaceutical products to pharmacies, PMVs, supermarkets, and wholesalers.
  • Achieve assigned monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Ensure proper product distribution and availability within assigned territory.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmacists, shop owners, and key decision-makers.
  • Provide accurate product information, dosage guidance (OTC level), and usage benefits.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.

Product Promotion & Merchandising:

  • Ensure proper product placement and visibility at retail outlets.
  • Conduct in-store product presentations, product detailing, and sampling where applicable.
  • Support promotional activities, campaigns, and product launches.

Market Intelligence & Reporting:

  • Monitor competitor products, pricing, and promotional activities.
  • Gather market feedback on product performance and customer needs.
  • Submit regular sales reports, route plans, and market intelligence to management.

Compliance & Ethics:

  • Ensure all sales activities comply with NAFDAC, company policies, and ethical standards.
  • Promote products strictly as herbaceutical/OTC supplements.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum of OND / HND / B.Sc. in any discipline (Science-related field is an advantage).
  • 1–3 years experience in OTC, pharmaceutical, or FMCG sales.
  • Good knowledge of the OTC, pharmacy, and Patent Medicine Vendor (PMV market).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned territory.
  • Basic reporting and record-keeping skills.
  • Willingness to travel within assigned sales territory.
