Job Title: Accounts Officer

Location: Benin City, Edo

Position Summary

• Our client is seeking an exceptionally motivated, proactive, and results-driven Accounts Officer to lead their academic staff and foster an environment of educational excellence.
• The ideal candidate must possess outstanding organizational skills, an unwavering commitment to execution, and exemplary work ethics. 
• As part of the team, the Accounts Officer will be responsible for Accounting tasks and projects as assigned.  
• This role is designed to give you hands-on exposure to a wide variety of analytical and specialized Accounting responsibilities including Accounts Receivable, Cash Posting, Accounts Payable, and Financial Reporting.

Core Responsibilities

• Automate current manual reports using internal software.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reporting.
• Maintaining records, systems, and customer accounts, and generating reports for accounting. 
• Support of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, and division audit of inventory process as needed. 

Expected Learnings:

• Financial analysis and reporting.
• Data analysis and use of metrics.
• Inventory Management.
• Overhead budgeting.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel (pivot tables, xlookup, sumif, etc.).
• Coursework and/or understanding of IFRS, budgeting, balance sheets, cost control principles, and  Governement financial regulations.
• Ability to analyze, summarize and interpret financial data.
• Hardworking and enthusiastic personality.
