Job Role/Objectives

• A reputable construction company is seeking an Experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical project execution, system design, installation, and maintenance across construction projects.
• The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all electrical works comply with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Position Overview/Responsibilities

• Design power distribution system, electrical layout, single line diagrams, and wiring schedules.
• Plan, direct and coordinate electrical installation, maintenance, testing and documentation activities in line with project specifications, codes, and client requirements.
• Install electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, disconnects, and motor control centres.
• Monitor and expedite delivery of electrical materials and equipment to meet project timelines
• Inspect completed electrical installations and observe system operations, to ensure compliance, safety, and operational standards.
• Read, interpret, and review technical drawings, schematics, and design specifications.
• Record, analyse and interpret test data.
• Identify issues, propose system modifications, and supervise re-testing where necessary.
• Collaborate effectively with design engineers, contractors, clients, and other project stakeholders

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering.from a recognised university
• Minimum of 5 years post-NYSC experience in electrical project execution and coordination within a construction or engineering environment.
• Membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and COREN registration is an added advantage.
• Professional membership with any internationally recognised Engineering body is desirable.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is mandatory
• Strong understanding of power distribution systems and electrical installation standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong mathematical and technical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines.
• High level of autonomy, attention to detail, and self motivation.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and continuously develop professional skills and knowledge.
