We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure & System Engineer

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Cloud & Hosting Infrastructure:

• Manage and maintaincloud and VPS infrastructure hosting multiple web applications
• Ensure high availability, performance, backups, and disaster recovery readiness
• Monitor server health, uptime, storage, and resource utilisation
• Plan and support infrastructure scaling as digital products and user base grow

Application Infrastructure Support:

• Support deployment, configuration, and operation of web applications in cloud environments
• Work with developers and vendors to troubleshoot application-level infrastructure issues
• Manage environments (production, staging, testing) and deployment workflows
• Ensure proper logging, monitoring, and alerting for applications

Security & Compliance:

• Implement cloud security best practices including access controls, firewalls, patching, and encryption
• Support compliance requirements relevant to insurance, financial services, and data protection
• Manage SSL certificates, secure API integrations, and data protection controls
• Participate in vulnerability remediation and incident response activities

Vendor & Third-Party Management:

• Manage cloud service providers, hosting vendors, and technology partners
• Coordinate infrastructure-related activities with third-party developers and platform providers
• Track vendor SLAs, performance, and issue resolution
• Support onboarding and integration of new technology partners

Collaboration & Governance:

• Work closely with the Head of IT to ensure alignment between cloud and on-prem infrastructure
• Provide infrastructure input into digital product planning and partnerships
• Maintain documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, and procedures
• Provide regular status reports to the Head of Technology and Digital Partnerships

Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills:

• Strong experience managing VPS or cloud servers (AWS, Azure, GCP, DigitalOcean, or similar)
• Solid Linux server administration skills
• Experience hosting and managing web applications (APIs, dashboards, portals)
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing)
• Experience with backups, monitoring, and uptime management
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices

Desirable Technical Exposure:

• CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Containerisation (Docker) and basic orchestration concepts
• Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
• Working knowledge of databases and storage systems
• Experience supporting fintech, insurtech, or regulated platforms.
