Job Title: Senior Business Development Executive

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Senior Business Development Officer to join our Business development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities for our payroll, HR outsourcing, Payroll, L&D and recruitment services.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, building strong client relationships, and a deep understanding of the HR services market.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Revenue Generation:
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed assigned revenue targets across recruitment, HR outsourcing, and payroll and L&D services.
Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, referrals, partnerships, and targeted outreach.
Sign new clients for recruitment, outsourcing, L&D and payroll services and ensure timely revenue generation.
Build, manage, and maintain a strong and healthy sales pipeline, progressing leads from prospecting through to deal closure.
Client Engagement & Sales Execution:
Conduct detailed needs assessments to understand client challenges, workforce gaps, and operational requirements.
Propose tailored HR, recruitment, L&D and payroll solutions aligned with client needs and TeamAce’s service offerings.
Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations, proposals, SLAs, pricing models, and contracts.
Lead and support commercial negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes while protecting company margins.
Collaboration & Service Delivery Alignment:
Work closely with Recruitment, Payroll, Outsourcing, Finance, and Compliance teams to ensure accurate scoping, smooth client onboarding, and effective service delivery.
Ensure proper handover of signed clients to delivery teams with clear documentation, expectations, and timelines.
Market Intelligence & Brand Representation:
Stay informed on industry trends, market dynamics, client buying behavior, and competitor activities.
Identify new service opportunities, upselling, and cross-selling possibilities.
Represent TeamAce at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to strengthen brand presence and generate leads.
Reporting & Performance Tracking:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, leads, deals, and client interactions in the CRM system.
Provide weekly and monthly reports on revenue performance, pipeline health, conversion rates, and market insights to management.
What Success Looks Like In This Role
By the end of the first month, success in this role will be demonstrated by:
Signed and onboarded new clients for the following services:
Recruitment
HR Outsourcing
L&D
Payroll Services
Revenue generated from closed deals within the month.
A clearly defined and active sales pipeline with qualified prospects at different stages (prospecting, proposal, negotiation).
Completion of client meetings, needs assessments, and proposals with documented follow-ups.
Strong collaboration with internal teams to ensure smooth transition from sales to service delivery.
Accurate CRM updates and submission of a Month-One Business Development performance report to management.
Requirements
Candidates should possess a B.Sc. Degree in any discipline
Must have 4-5 years of progressive experience in business development or sales, with a proven track record of success in selling HR consulting services (payroll, HR outsourcing, recruitment) in Nigeria.
Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.
Strong understanding of the Nigerian HR services market and its regulatory landscape.
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail, compliance awareness, problem solving skills, proactive, reliable and willing to take ownership of assigned tasks.
Strong time management skills, problem-solving skills, self-motivated, results-driven, ability to meet deadlines and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite & Google workspace.
Strategic thinking with the ability to identify and pursue complex sales opportunities.
