The Role
We’re seeking a dynamic Operations & Business Development Manager to lead daily operations, enhance patient experience, and drive brand growth.
This role combines operations leadership and business development, ensuring smooth service delivery, regulatory compliance, and early revenue generation across Lagos.
The manager will establish the foundation for scalable operations and build strategic partnerships to support sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Leadership:
Lead and oversee home health service delivery across Lagos, ensuring safe, timely, and patient-centred care.
Manage scheduling, dispatch, and field coordination of caregivers and clinical staff.
Plan and control operational budgets, consumables, equipment, and logistics.
Support the recruitment, onboarding, deployment, and performance management of clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring valid professional licenses and scope-of-practice compliance.
Implement, monitor, and improve Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs) while tracking operational, clinical and service quality KPIs.
Ensure full compliance with Lagos State and Federal healthcare regulations, data protection, and quality and safety standards, including readiness for audits, inspections, and reviews.
Business Development:
Identify and engage potential clients, hospitals, HMOs, corporate wellness programs, and high-net-worth households to generate early revenue.
Build and maintain strategic partnerships to support patient referrals and service uptake.
Support the design and execution of marketing and outreach to grow brand awareness and trust in target communities.
Track leads, partnerships, and business opportunities, reporting insights to the CEO.
Align new business opportunities with operational capacity to ensure deliverability to clients and partners.
Provide input on pricing, service packages, and promotional strategies based on market feedback and competitor analysis.
Build and nurture a pipeline for scalable growth beyond Lagos once operations are stable.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in healthcare operations or early-stage startups, with knowledge of service delivery and compliance.
Experience in building partnerships and driving business growth.
Strong ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities.
Familiarity with technology and data-driven operations is a plus.
Competencies:
Proven experience in operations management, with a strategic mindset and ability to manage multi-location, complex service delivery.
Strong budgeting and financial management skills to control costs and optimise resource allocation.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and resolve operational and business challenges quickly and effectively.
Demonstrated experience in team leadership and people management, motivating staff to deliver high-quality service and achieve high performance.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to clients, partners, staff, and investors.
Ability to build partnerships and develop business opportunities, balancing revenue growth with operational feasibility.
Results-oriented, with a focus on delivering reliable service, patient satisfaction, and early-stage growth targets.
