We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales and Activation Lead

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Sales & Activations Lead will be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives and executing high-impact brand, fan, and partner activations.
  • This role bridges commercial sales and on-ground/off-ground activations, ensuring sponsorships, partnerships, and campaigns deliver measurable value to the business and stakeholders.
  • The ideal candidate is commercially savvy, energetic, and deeply passionate about sports, with a strong ability to convert opportunities into revenue while delivering memorable activations.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Generation:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue across sponsorships, partnerships, merchandise, events, and ticketing (where applicable).
  • Identify, pitch, and close new business opportunities with corporate sponsors, brands, and partners.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle: prospecting, proposal development, negotiation, closing, and onboarding.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing partners to ensure renewals and upsell opportunities.
  • Prepare sales proposals, presentations, and commercial decks aligned with brand and audience insights.

Activations & Campaign Execution:

  • Lead the planning and execution of brand, fan engagement, and partner activations (matchday activations, community events, digital campaigns, experiential marketing).
  • Ensure all activations align with partner objectives, brand guidelines, and commercial agreements.
  • Collaborate with marketing, media, and operations teams to deliver seamless and impactful activations.
  • Monitor activation performance and provide post-activation reports to partners and internal stakeholders.

Strategy & Planning:

  • Work closely with leadership to develop commercial and activation strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Track sales pipelines, revenue performance, and activation ROI.
  • Identify market trends, fan behavior insights, and competitor activities to inform strategy.

Stakeholder & Team Collaboration:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsors and activation partners.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, operations, finance) and external vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Support junior sales or activation team members where applicable.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field.
  • 3  – 5 years of experience in sales, sponsorships, partnerships, or activations (sports or entertainment industry preferred).
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience executing brand or experiential activations.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
