Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa was established by the Ondo State Government in 2008. The University was initially named as Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH), Okitipupa. The Ondo State Government changed the name of the University to Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH) in December, 2019. The University is a technology-based institution which aims at providing the needed manpower training in order to address the critical areas of industrial and technological development of Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole.

The Vision of the University is to be a leading internationally recognized institution raising a corpus of technologically competent individuals able to respond to the needs of their environment in a technologically driven economy. The rapidly growing University currently runs academic programmes in three Schools. These are School of Science, School of Engineering and Engineering Technology and School of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources. Job Summary

• The Director of Physical Planning, Works and Services is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the development, maintenance, and management of the university's physical infrastructure.

Responsibilities
Specifically, the candidate will be expected to:

• Oversee planning, design, and execution of capital projects and renovations.
• Supervise maintenance of buildings, infrastructure, and ublities.
• Prepare and maintain the University's fixed assets register and make periodic reports to the Senate and Council on the physical state of the University.
• Establish and enforce facility management and sustainability policies.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and government agencies.
• Manage budgets, procurement, and project schedules.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and university policies.
• Manage the department's budgets, oversee procurement processes, and develop and monitor project schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of all assignments.
• Ensure that all activities comply with applicable regulations as well as the university's internal policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidate must possess a good degree or equivalent in the relevant field (Engineering / Architecture / Building Technology / Surveying or Town Planning) plus Nineteen years (19) years post-registration experience, plus a Master's degree in any of the above fields with fifteen (15) years of post-qualification experience, three (3) of which must have been as a Deputy Director and be registered with relevant professional bodies.

Salary Grade
CONTISS 15.
