Reposebay HR Consulting - Our client, African Women on Board (AWB), a non-profit organization, is building the Gender Equity Certification (GEC) Framework, a practical, evidence-based programme that supports organisations to assess, strengthen, and demonstrate equitable workplace systems across governance, policy, culture, and practice.

Job Title: Programme Manager
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time (Hybrid, 3 days onsite, potentially more as need demands)
Role Overview
The Programme Manager will own end-to-end delivery and programme readiness for scale, working closely with AWB leadership, technical partners, and participating organisations across Nigeria and wider Africa.
Core Objectives
Lead end-to-end delivery of the GEC programme across participating organisations and cohorts, ensuring high-quality delivery to scope and timeline.
Establish and run programme governance, reporting, and risk management, maintaining a repeatable operating model, tools, and templates.
Lead engagement with technical and content partners, assessors, trainers, and participating organisations, ensuring clear roles, work plans, and performance.
Protect certification integrity through consistent methodology, evidence requirements, quality assurance, and robust documentation.
Responsibilities
Programme Leadership:
Translate the GEC strategy into a delivery plan with milestones, resourcing, dependencies, risks, and budget oversight.
Run programme governance including cadence meetings, decision-making, RAID management, escalation, and leadership reporting.
Maintain programme artefacts including playbooks, SOPs, templates, and reporting dashboards, and oversee delivery from onboarding through assessment to certification recommendation, continuously improving the model over time.
Stakeholder Engagement & Management:
Serve as the day-to-day relationship lead for participating organisations, maintaining clarity on scope, timelines, evidence requirements, and deliverables.
Coordinate partners and subcontractors, including scope definition, work plans, deliverables tracking, quality review, and performance management.
Facilitate working sessions, workshops, and leadership briefings, and support proposals, sponsor updates, and external positioning materials as required.
Client Onboarding & Management:
Lead onboarding and readiness including baseline data requests, orientation sessions, access management, and delivery scheduling.
Guide organisations through the assessment and action planning journey, resolving issues quickly and maintaining stakeholder engagement.
Ensure confidentiality and evidence handling expectations including secure storage, access control, and appropriate audit trails, and track delivery health and impact metrics to inform scale.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., economics, international development, gender studies, business administration, law, mass communication).
A minimum of 6 years of project management experience, with at least 4of those years, in a more senior role, handling end-to-end programme delivery.
Proven programme management experience delivering complex, multi-stakeholder programmes. Experience in certification schemes, audits, assessments, or maturity models is an advantage.
Strong operational discipline covering planning, documentation, governance, risk and issue management, and delivery reporting.
Experience working on gender equity, ESG, organisational development, human capital, compliance, or governance-related initiatives would be an advantage, particularly where this has involved systems design, assessment, or institutional change.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and writing skills, with high integrity and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information.
Salary
N1,000,000 - N2,000,000 / Month. (Dependent on candidates’ experience and capability).
