About the Role

• We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Event Technical Director to lead the technical planning and execution of live, virtual, and hybrid events.
• The ideal candidate will oversee all technical production elements including audio-visual systems, lighting, staging, rigging, and live streaming to ensure seamless delivery and exceptional audience experiences.
• This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, vendor coordination skills, and the ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced event environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical production for events from concept to execution.
• Develop and manage technical production plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Oversee AV, lighting, sound, staging, LED screens, live streaming, and power distribution setups.
• Conduct site inspections and technical rehearsals.
• Manage and coordinate technical vendors, production crews, and freelance technicians.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and risk management protocols.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges in real-time during live events.
• Collaborate with event managers, creative teams, and clients to deliver production requirements.
• Maintain and manage technical equipment inventory where applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Event Production, Engineering, Theatre Technology, or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in live event technical production.
• Strong knowledge of audio-visual systems, lighting consoles, sound engineering, and staging logistics.
• Proven experience managing large-scale corporate or entertainment events.
• Excellent leadership and team coordination skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and decision-making under pressure.
• Budget management experience.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel when required.
