The ESG Manager will lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of our environmental and social systems, translating sustainability commitments into measurable outcomes that protect people, preserve the planet, and promote transparency.
You will:
Oversee environmental and social compliance across all operations, ensuring adherence to regulations and best practices.
Develop and implement Babban Gona’s ESG policies, systems, and performance frameworks.
Identify and mitigate environmental and social risks across the business.
Build organizational capacity by training teams on sustainability standards and practices.
Engage with partners, regulators, and stakeholders to advance Babban Gona’s sustainability agenda.
Monitor, evaluate, and report on ESG performance, providing insights that inform strategic decisions and continuous improvement.
Requirements
You’re not just a sustainability professional, you’re a guardian of responsible growth and a driver of measurable impact. You thrive in fast-paced, high-impact environments where strategy, compliance, and operational excellence intersect.
You should have:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Agriculture, Social Sciences, or a related field.
7-10 years of hands-on experience in ESG, sustainability, or environmental and social risk management, ideally within agricultural, social enterprise, or development-focused organizations.
Knowledge of IFC PS and Agricultural sector including pesticide management, supply chain, biodiversity and transportation.
Proven expertise in developing and implementing ESG policies, systems, and compliance frameworks.
Strong knowledge of environmental and social risk assessment, mitigation, and reporting standards.
Experience engaging with stakeholders, including regulators, donors, and community partners, to advance sustainability objectives.
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate ESG data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
Excellent communication skills to influence teams and senior management.
